Just yesterday someone asked me, “If I have to choose between cardio and weights – which do I choose?”

For those of us who have a limited amount of time for exercise – combining cardio and weight-bearing exercise is the best choice for an efficient, effective workout.  You can knock out a great workout in 30-45 minutes by adding in cardio elements to your weight routine – and Bosu Jumps are a great choice for a cardio interval.

The other cool thing about this exercise, is that while raising your heart rate, you also work your legs and core.

Our trainer, Tara Mulcahy, demonstrates the Bosu Jump in this video.

To add this into your workout:  start by either doing 3 sets of 10 reps (jumping on and off the bosu counts as 1 rep) – and then working your way up to 15 reps; OR start by doing 30 second intervals and work up to minute intervals.
