Adding exercises that improve core strength is one of the most important things you can do in your workout.
Most people immediately think of situps or crunches when they hear “core” – but some of the most effective core exercises are stabilizing exercises. Many employ only small movements. And they often look benign. When I first use this exercise with a client, I typically hear, “When I saw you demonstrate that exercise, I thought it would be easy.” But done correctly, these exercises can be quite challenging.
Using the large theraband in this press move improves strength & stability – things we all need for functional movement in our everyday lives.
While we only demonstrate one side on this video, make sure to do both sides – so flip around – when you do this on your own.
